she blinks her
iPhone at
pursing cherry lips
and rounded eyes.
Selfies are the new
I love me (or I don’t)
so now she waits
suspended
until the first like
until the second
until she begins
to count (to matter)
letting the likes
soak into her skin
until she feels
almost full
enough for now.
